Black Ops 4 9 Bangs – Are 9 Bangs Getting Nerfed?

Black Ops 4 9 bangs seem to be slightly overpowered at the moment, according to many of the players who have reported on their Blackout experiences online. Treyarch’s latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise has launched to massive success, with many people claiming that it’s the best Call of Duty game in years. However, aside from the game-breaking fatal error codes that have yet to be addressed, there seems to be a major problem with the Tactical Grenades known as 9 bangs in Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

Many people have reported their discontent with 9 bangs on Reddit, stating that the grenades last too long and have an area of effect that is far too large. Although no official comment was made by anyone representing Treyarch for the first week after the game launched, Blackout’s Studio Design Director David Vonderhaar has broken the silence. Vonderhaar said on Twitter:

Vonderhaar then invited his followers to discuss the suggestions he had made, as well as lending his ear to those willing to offer alternative advice. What’s important here is that Vonderhaar has recognized the issue with 9 bangs in Blackout and has announced that the Blackout team fully intends to come to a solution sooner rather than later.

Until 9 bangs are fixed, players can aim to get a competitive edge in various other ways, such as taking a look at our best Weapons in Blackout guide, or learning how to make the most of Zombie spawns in Blackout.
