Darksiders 3 Enhancements Guide

Darksiders 3 Enhancements Guide

The Darksiders 3 Enhancements are probably the most underrated way to upgrade Fury. These charms slot into your weapons and give them small passive effects. Each has two branches and can be upgraded. Here’s a list of the 12 Darksiders 3 Enhancements, what they do, and whereabouts to find them.

Darksiders 3 Enhancements – The Basics

Darksiders 3 Enhancements Guide

All 12 of the Enhancements are “Unfocused” when you find them. You’ll need to dump Demonic or Angelic Artifacts into them to get them down one of the upgrade path. These paths give an incrementally better buff along the way. Each route will give you different stat increase too. Ulthane at the Maker’s Forge Vulgrim location can upgrade your Darksiders 3 Enhancements.

From here, you’ll have to commit until you get to the end to get it to the “Balanced” state. This will give you the added stat boosts of each path, making the choice at the beginning of each Enhancement only temporary. Since this is the case, just pick which one suits your fancy first since you’ll likely get both eventually.

It takes two of either Angelic of Demonic Artifacts for the first upgrade, four for the next, six for the last, then 12 of the opposite Artifact to get a balanced Enhancement. For those looking to get the “Balance in all things” trophy or achievement, be careful. If you start committing artifacts to either path on a bunch of Enhancements and not completing them, you’ll make this trophy or achievement a lot harder or even impossible since you might not have enough Demonic or Angelic Artifacts to finish five separate Darksiders 3 Enhancements.

Darksiders 3 Enhancements – Where to Find Them and What They Do

Darksiders 3 Enhancements Guide

Enhancement title: Azazel

What its Angelic path does: Generates Wrath passively every minute

What its Demonic path does: Generates more Wrath as you attack with this weapon

Where to find it: In the Depths, go underwater and search around for movable purple block. Move it around with the Force Hollow hammer and go in the hole it was sitting on to find the Enhancement. But beware. It’s possible to glitch and fall through without being able to get back out.

Enhancement title: Fortifier

What its Angelic path does: Gives bigger health bar

What its Demonic path does: Does more physical and Arcade damage

Where to find it: It’s in the West End near a four-armed monster and red spider web. You probably saw it as you went through the game.

Enhancement title: Fafnir

What its Angelic path does: Deflects melee damage back at attacker

What its Demonic path does: Damage increases for every 2,000 Souls you carry

Where to find it: Defeat Lust and talk to Usiel at the Angel base.

Enhancement title: Fortune

What its Angelic path does: Increases potency of consumables

What its Demonic path does: Lurchers have a better chance of coming out of slain enemies

Where to find it: Go to the Sewage Egress Vulgrim location. Look to your right. Use your wall jump Stasis Hollow ability to jump up to another area. It’ll be in that room with a few enemies.

Enhancement title: Marauder

What its Angelic path does: Item drop chance increases

What its Demonic path does: Health Lurchers have a better chance of spawning

Where to find it: Go to the Tangled Grotto area with the spiders and find a purple breakable wall. Use the hammer and drop down below. You’ll know it’s the right path if you see a purple pimple thing with an item in it when you drop down. Keep dropping down and then follow the path to a lava area. Kill the lava enemies and then you’ll see the Enhancement in the lava pool on a tiny bit of land. You can also get here from the area where you first fought (and lost to) Wrath somewhat near the Splintered Station Vulgrim location.

Enhancement title: Leviathan

What its Angelic path does: Health regenerates passively but slowly

What its Demonic path does: Lurchers come out of breaking environmental objects

Where to find it: Buy it from Vulgrim for 5,000 Souls

Enhancement title: Obscurus

What its Angelic path does: Evade invincibility window increases (this one is incredibly important)

What its Demonic path does: Generates more Havoc (used for Havoc form)

Where to find it: It is near the huge tree in the Hangman’s Tree Vulgrim location. Just check around the back of it and it will be on the ground for you to pick up.

Enhancement title: Shade

What its Angelic path does: Reduces Arcane damage taken

What its Demonic path does: Increases Arcane damage dealt

Where to find it: Find the big tree that houses Ulthane (the Maker’s Forge Vulgrim location). Go down and swing back to the building that faces it like you’re coming at it from the start of the game. Look to your right to see a building you need to glide to with the Lightning Hollow. Follow the path and you’ll soon glide over to a building using a few of the little boost tornadoes. It’s on a ledge you have to swing to after you kill the enemies in the shallow water area.

Enhancement title: Juggernaut

What its Angelic path does: Reduces physical damage taken

What its Demonic path does: Increasing physical damage dealt

Where to find it: Go to the dark tunnel area in the Nether. You should come across it while on your journey. Instead of going forward, look underneath the subway car in that dark room. Crawl underneath it and drop down to crawl through another crawlspace. It’s sitting in the room with some glowing enemies. Kill them and grab it.

Enhancement title: Rage

What its Angelic path does: Wrath Lurchers from slain enemies give more Wrath

What its Demonic path does: Chance of weapon spawning Wrath when killing enemies increases

Where to find it: Buy it from Vulgrim for 5,000 Souls

Enhancement title: Enoch

What its Angelic path does: Havoc generates passively

What its Demonic path does: Damage increases when below 25 percent health

Where to find it: Go to the Catacombs Vulgrim location. When facing the statue room, head to the room to the left (not to the earlier parts of the game). Use the Thunder Hollow to glide down to a ledge and then use grapple to the lava pool on the right. It should be there by a lone lava enemy.

Enhancement title: Chaos

What its Angelic path does: Havoc form lasts longer

What its Demonic path does: Damage grants health to the player

Where to find it: In the room after the big statue room near the Catacombs Vulgrim. Go down the path and right before you get to the puzzle with the bug and the red spider webs, look to your left. Break those pots and go through the hole, jump up a few times, then drop down to a new location, and you can see it near the red-eye skeleton.

Darksiders 3 Enhancements – The Best Loadout

Darksiders 3 Enhancements Guide

While there’s not one true loadout, there are some good ones to upgrade first. The Obscurus Enhancement’s Angelic route helps offset the game’s poor dodge move. The Angelic Fortifier grants extra health, which is helpful but the Demonic set’s damage boost is also great. Marauder’s Demonic path helps spawn health Lurchers, which are already rare. Juggernaut is reliable since it dealing more damage and taking less of it is basic, but good. And finally, Chaos’ health regeneration on the Demonic tree is small, but useful.
