Black Ops 4 Blackout Looting Glitch

Black Ops 4 Blackout Looting Glitch Fix

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s latest update seems to have brought about a Blackout looting glitch. Players have been complaining about the issue since the patch dropped on Tuesday, so is there a Black Ops 4 Blackout looting glitch fix to solve the problem?

What is the Black Ops 4 Blackout Looting Glitch?

The Black Ops 4 Blackout looting glitch is an error that only appears to be affecting players in Black Ops 4’s Blackout game type, and occurs when people are attempting to loot the bodies of opponents they have killed.

The glitch itself sees players loot one item from a dead soldier’s bag of stuff before everything else in the dropped bag disappears. Black Ops 4 players are then having to look away from the item haul and look back at it again to get the items to respawn. Others have also complained that they’re unable to even scroll through items dropped to see which ones are worth taking.

Reddit threads such as this one have lamented this issue a fair bit over the past 48 hours. Given that it’s easy to be picked off by fellow players if you’re spending an eternity rooting through someone’s bag, this glitch really does need fixing by developer Treyarch.

Is There a Black Ops 4 Blackout Looting Glitch Fix?

Not right now there isn’t. As we mentioned, the December update for Black Ops 4 only went live on Tuesday, so Treyarch hasn’t had enough time to read through all of the error reports, find the exact issue, fix it, and send out a new patch since then.

If you’re constantly finding this bug and it’s making Blackout unplayable, you can contact Treyarch’s support team on the official Black Ops 4 forums. Those messages will hopefully be relayed to the dev team but, with the holiday season right around the corner, this glitch may not even be fixed until the New Year. We’ll keep you posted if something gets done about it before then though.
