In order to use Alakazam in Pokemon Let’s Go, you will need to catch an Abra and evolve it into an Alakazam. Abra evolves first into Kadabra, then into Alakazam. This is the only way to get Alakazam in Pokemon Let’s Go, and here’s how the process works.

First, you’ll have to catch an Abra. These can be found on routes five, six, seven, and eight. Be aware that Abra is notoriously skittish and will try to teleport away. Use a Great or Ultra Ball to ensure you catch them first time around. If they do run, just keep walking about in the grass until you come across another one.

Once you have an Abra, your next job is to evolve it. Abra evolves at level 16, so keep it in your party, keep catching other wild Pokemon, and battling other trainers to gain experience points. Once it hits this level, evolve it into Kadabra. You can catch Kadabra in the wild, too, on routes seven and eight, but they’re so rare that you’re best just evolving an Abra.

Finally, you will have to trade your Kadabra with a friend to get Alakazam in Pokemon Let’s Go. Make sure that your friend trades you it back though, and doesn’t keep it for themselves. Once you do, you’ll finally own an Alakazam.
