Fortnite 2.03 Update Patch Notes

Fortnite 2.03 Update Patch Notes | February 18, 2019

The Fortnite 2.03 update patch notes have been shared by Epic Games. The patch follows the Fortnite 7.40 (2.02 on PS4) update, which added the Valentine’s Surprise event, the temporary return of Gifting, the new Infantry Rifle, the Catch limited time mode, Overtime Challenges, and a lot more. Unfortunately, the Fortnite 2.03 patch isn’t as exciting, making only minor changes that many players won’t notice. On the bright side, at least it doesn’t require a downtime period! This is what the Fortnite update today does:

Fortnite 2.03 Update Patch Notes

As detailed on the official Fortnite Twitter account, the Fortnite 2.03 update’s sole purpose is to implement “a few stability/bug fixes.”

Yeah, not as exciting as previous patches, but it should still be appreciated. If you’ve avoided playing due to some kind of stability problem, or you’ve been running into a particularly nasty bug, get the update downloaded, installed, and then try and play a match. You never know, the Fortnite 2.03 update may have just solved your problem!

Epic Games also released a client update (which doesn’t require a download) on February 18. Like the Fortnite 2.03 update, this patch helped with a few stability/bug fixes.

As we’ve seen with previous updates, the Nintendo Switch tends to receive the patches a little later than other platforms.

If this update isn’t as impressive as you were hoping for, don’t fret, as the end of Season 7 is coming to an end, which means lots of crazy updates should be hitting the game pretty soon. Season 8 is set to launch on February 28, so you can expect some game-changing events leading up to the launch.

If you haven’t yet completed the Fortnite Overtime challenges, which will enable you to get the Season 8 Battle Pass for free, get caught up with our cheat sheet guide. You have until February 27 to get the missions done and dusted, and claim your free Battle Pass!
