The Division 2 open beta is live now (until March 4, 2019) on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It acts as Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment’s last chance to publicly test the game before it releases on March 15, 2019. As such, there are plenty of bugs and glitches present in the beta. This includes the annoying The Division 2 PC accept invites crash. If you have encountered this annoying bug, we’ve got the fix you need.
What is The Division 2 PC Accept Invites Crash?
While playing The Division 2, you will be able to shoot your friends invites to join your game. You can also accept invitations to join someone else’s game when playing The Division 2. Or, at least, you should be able to. This simple process has been complicated on the PC version of the game by an annoying bug.
Essentially, if you accept an invitation to join someone else’s Division 2 game, the game might crash. This isn’t good. There must be a way to accept invites on The Division 2 Open Beta on PC without the game crashing, surely?
The Division 2 PC Accept Invites Crash | How to fix
Thankfully, there is an easy way to stop The Division 2 from crashing on PC when trying to accept player invitations. Do not have any sort of menu up when you accept an invitation. The game will crash on PC if you try to accept an invitation when you have a menu screen up at the same time. In order to stop the crash from happening simply close down whatever menu you may have open before accepting an invitation.
It’s a workaround at the moment, but it’s simple enough. Thankfully, though, Ubisoft is aware of the issue and is currently investigating the problem. Hopefully, a proper fix will come via an official patch sooner rather than later. No one likes a crashing game.
