After a successful launch of the first season of Life is Strange back in 2015, Ubisoft released the first episode of Life is Strange 2 in September 2018. Now, with two episodes down, Life is Strange 2 Episode 3 has been given an official release date and name. If you are unfamiliar with the Life is Strange franchise, it is an episodic adventure game in which players choose their own outcome. Similar to the games developed by the now-defunct studio Telltale games, players are tasked with making difficult decisions in order to choose their own narrative, with each decision affecting the outcome of the story. So far, only two of the five episodes have been released. Today, Ubisoft announced that by the end of the year, Life is Strange 2 will be complete, with the final three episodes releasing this calendar year.
What is Life is Strange 2 Episode 3: Wastelands about?
*Spoiler Warning: May contain spoilers for those who have not played Life is Strange 2*
Episode 3 has been given an official name: Wastelands. It continues where the previous episode left off and is following Sean and Daniel’s journey to Mexico. Along the way, they meet new people who become friends and offer new challenges and outlooks on life. However, these new relationships are starting to cause friction between the Diaz brothers, pulling them apart. Will they be able to find a middle ground? Or will these “new friends” tear them apart?
When can I get Life is Strange 2 Episode 3? What about the rest of the season?
Life is Strange 2 Episode 3: Wastelands will be released across all platforms on May 9. Additionally, Ubisoft has released a roadmap for the rest of 2019, which includes the release date for Episode 4 and 5. However, fans are going to have to wait a little while to get their hands on the final two episodes. Episode 4 is set to come out August 22 and Episode 5 will be releasing December 3.
