To unlock them you’ll need to get Ermac’s Amulet which is deep within Goro’s Lair. Below we’ll show you how to find Ermac’s Amulet and unlock the green orbs in the Krypt in Mortal Kombat 11.

How to unlock the green orbs in the Krypt in Mortal Kombat 11

These glowing green orbs scattered around the Krypt require you to get a key item before you can unlock them. You’ll have to move through several areas of the Krypt before you can get the item you need.

The item you need to open the green orbs is Ermac’s Amulet. Before you can get the amulet, you need to make your way to Goro’s Lair. This requires you to take an elevator into the underground part of the Krypt.

Once you make it to Goro’s Lair, you can head towards the area you need to reach to get Ermac’s Amulet. The first thing you need to do is head forward from the elevator until you reach an area with a statue of Goro sitting on a throne.

From Goro’s Throne Room, head left and open the gate with the nearby chain. Continue through this passage, and you’ll find a dining room. Go up the stairs to your right and look along the wall for another gate that can be opened with a chain. Go through the unlocked passage, and you’ll find an elevator.

Ride the elevator up, and you’ll find yourself in the Lower Pit. A cutscene will play, and Ermac will fall from the Upper Pit and be impaled on spikes. Examine his corpse, and you’ll get Ermac’s Amulet.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ermac's Amulet Description

Once you have Ermac’s Amulet, opening the green orbs is easy. At least as long as you have the currency to do it. Each regular orb costs 100 souls to unlock. Their contents vary but tends to be the same sort of stuff you get from chests. You can think of them as chests that take another currency.

Ermac’s Amulet can also reconstruct destroyed structures or remove rubble from passages. The first time you do this in the Lower Pits, it’s free, but after that, you’ll be looking at spending a lot of souls. The bridge in the Upper Pits, for example, costs 2,000 souls to reconstruct.
