Days Gone is the latest PS4 game from Sony, developed by its first-party studio Sony Bend, the creators of the Syphon Filter series and Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PS Vita. As such, it’s certainly not coming to Xbox One or Nintendo Switch any time soon, but what about PC? Is there a chance for a Days Gone PC port? Is Days Gone for PC right now, as well as PS4? We’ve got the answers, and it’s not just “no.”
Is Days Gone for PC?
Days Gone is developed by one of Sony’s first-party studios, and was made with the full intention of it being a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Consequently, as of now, it is only on PS4, and it will be exclusive to PS4 for the foreseeable future. It’s definitely not on PC. Well, at least for the moment.
Will there be a Days Gone PC version?
Now here’s the point where things get sketchy. While Days Gone will probably never appear on an Xbox or Nintendo console, since those are both rivals to Sony and PlayStation. However, none of the console manufacturers see PC as a competitor. In fact, most publishers actively work to put former console exclusives on PC.
Being a first-party game, however, it’s unlikely that Days Gone will make the leap to PC as a regular release, at least in the way former PS4 exclusives Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human are going to Epic Games Store later this year. More likely then is that if Days Gone does end up on PC, it’ll get there through Sony’s PlayStation Now game streaming service. Major PS4 exclusives such as Bloodborne are already available to play on PC through the service, so it’s completely possible that Days Gone will make the jump to PlayStation Now too at some point. It probably won’t be for a while, however, so if you want to play the game right now, you’ll have to do so on PS4.
