The Fortnite Season 8 Overtime challenges have been leaked ahead of their official release. If you’re in need of some assistance over completing these tasks, we’re here to help. Read our Fortnite Season 8 Overtime challenges cheat sheet for the lowdown on them.
Fortnite Season 8 Overtime Challenges | Free Challenges
Collect Coins in Featured Creative Islands
To collect coins in featured islands, simply load up the game’s Creative mode and try out a number of the user-created maps. Some of these maps will contain coins that you can collect. If you manage to snag yourself a haul of 20 coins, you’ll tick this challenge off the list.
Place Top 10 in Squads with a friend
This is where things get tricky. Enlist the help of your best Fortnite friend and finish in the top 10 in three separate matches. You might struggle to get this three times in a row, but you have time on your side to complete it.
Your best approach may be to hide it out after you get some good loot, and stay in the circle every time it shrinks. Alternatively, if you’re that good, you and your teammate can both try and take down other squads. The latter option is riskier though, so we’ll leave the plan up to you.
Deal 1,000 damage to opponents
Another easy challenge to tick off. With the Avengers Endgame LTM event currently in play, you could use this game type to really help your chances. Simply make sure you acquire a mythic Avengers weapon or become Thanos, and you’ll be dealing tons of damage in no time.
Place Top 10 in Duos with a friend
Much like the top 10 in Squads challenge, your best approach to this might be to go about your business quietly until the Duo squads have been whittled down. Then, make your move and try to get into that all-important top 10 placing.
Duos can be more difficult than Squads as there are less of you, so you’ll both need to pull your weight. If you’re both experts at battle royale games though, you shouldn’t have any issues. Rank inside the top 10 in three separate matches to complete this challenge.
This may seem hard on the surface, especially as you have to outlast 500 opponents across all your Season 8 matches. Given that we’re almost into week 10, however, you should be well on your way to completing it.
You can marry this challenge with the Squads, Duos, or Solo challenges that appear in this cheat sheet guide to help you. That is if you haven’t already finished it due to how good you are. Even if you’re a few opponents short of completing this, you’ve still got a couple of weeks to finish it.
Place Top 25 in Solo
The third and final tricky challenge that you’ll have to overcome is to place in the top players of a Solo match. There’s some leniency here though, with players only needing to finish inside the top 25 instead of the top 10.
If you’ve employed the “hide and seek” method from the Squads and Duos challenges, you may want to do so for this challenge too. There are some amazing players out there, so waiting until there are fewer people on the battlefield might be the way to go. Again, finish inside the top 25 three times to finish this challenge.
Fortnite Season 8 Overtime Challenges | Battle Pass Challenges
Stage 1 Reach Battle Pass Tier 23, Stage 2 Complete Free Overtime Challenges
Make sure you’ve reached Tier 23 in the Battle Pass for this season. If you’ve been keeping on top of your challenges list, this will have been completed a few weeks ago.
Stage 2 of this is to chalk off the Free Overtime challenges for this tier too. Again, you will have been doing so if you’ve kept on top of the challenges as they’ve come out.
Stage 1 Reach Battle Pass Tier 71, Stage 2 Complete Free Overtime Challenges
Following on from the above, the Battle Pass Tier 71 challenge is exactly the same. There’s a Stage 2 part of this which means that you will have to complete the Free Overtime challenges for this, too.
Stage 1 Reach Battle Pass Tier 87, Stage 2 Complete Free Overtime Challenges
Third time’s a charm with the Battle Pass leveling up. For the final time, just make sure you hit Tier 87 in your Battle Pass challenges list to tick this one off. Stage 2 requires you to chalk off the Free Overtime challenges for a third and final time as well.
