Right then, to find out if your application for the Mario Kart Tour beta participation test was successful, you’ll have to check your emails. Specifically, you’ll have to log in to the Gmail account that you used to sign up for a chance to partake in the closed Android beta.

If you’re one of the lucky individuals picked for it, you’ll have an email from Nintendo that states you were successfully selected. If you don’t have an email, then you haven’t been, but remember to look through your junk/spam folders too.

Android users in Japan have already begun receiving their emails, and US users will find out sometime on Monday if they’ve been picked too. The closed beta starts on Wednesday, May 22 so, if you haven’t heard by Tuesday, you won’t be getting in.

If you’ve received a Mario Kart Tour beta participation email, the next step is to download the game. To do this, you’ll need an Android phone that has version 4.4 or above of its operating system and at least 1.5 GB of RAM. Android Q and Android tablets are not supported for this game either, so don’t try and download it on those.

To download the beta, head to the Google Play store. Search for “Mario Kart Tour” and press the enter key. This will take you to the game page and you can download it from there.

Bear in mind that you must be signed into the Google account that’s linked to your Gmail account too. If you use more than one Google account, you can’t download it on the account that isn’t registered to the email account you used to sign up with.
