The new Days Gone1.09 update patch notes are now available to read, provided by developer Bend Studio on the game’s official Reddit page. The new update today is now rolling out, and is available to download and install on PS4. If the new 12.8 GB patch download doesn’t automatically begin, you can force it to install by highlighting the game and pushing “Triangle.” Then hit “Check for update” to begin the 1.09 download.
Days Gone 1.09 Update Patch Notes Highlights
Despite the massive size of the Days Gone 1.09 update, the patch notes detailed by the developer are actually incredibly short. Three fixes are mentioned, which don’t seem to justify the huge 12.8 GB update. It’s likely that players were expecting more content with such a significant chunk of data being sent to their hard drives, but no, Bend Studio has just mentioned a few fixes.
One fix targets the issue involving some of the “Marauder Camp Hunter” storyline side missions. Players should face fewer issues when trying to complete these.
Another fix tackles the shoddy lighting experienced during the boss fight in the Crater Lake area. This has now been improved.
Finally, “miscellaneous crashes” have been targeted with fixes, so players should crash less, which is obviously nice.

“The current plan for our team is still to slow down the amount of patches we release but to add more fixes, features, and optimizations with each patch.
