Money and Expeience
As always with these games, do not waste your time with anything that doesn’t generate money or experience. You do not need decorations, support structures, walls rivers or sidewalks unless prompted to add them before acquiring the ability to buy a new type of animal (i.e. requiring more staff).
Animals
You will not acquire large quantities of identical items and cover all of your spaces in this game. Instead, you have a much smaller area to work with and buy one of the animal. You will then buy a second animal and breed the other 2. Unfortunately, there is a 4 animal max per species.
Attractions
Attractions work very similar to your animals and will give you experience and coins every time you collect from them and feed them. The only difference is that they are not able to be stacked on the same square. Determine which structures give the best money and put them everywhere you don’t have an animal. These are good for filling those awkward spaces that would otherwise remain unused.
Nursery
After you own 2 of every animal, you should not waste money on buying any more of them. Instead, you can use your nursery and breed those final animals. This will save you money and allow you to use it elsewhere in your zoo (i.e. expanding).
Crossbreeding
Once unlocked, you can use the crossbreeding function (of two predetermined animals) to make some interesting new ones. As you grow your zoo, you will use this feature a lot. It is expensive but well worth it in the long run! New animals will keep your zoo status high.
Trash
There will be tons of trash around your zoo and even in the animal cages. Clean it up to earn money and experience. This in turn will keep your zoo status as close to 5 stars as possible.
