The Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 challenges are here and, with them, more rewards to unlock. You will want to read our cheat sheet to find out what Free and Battle Pass challenges are available to complete this week, especially if any of them have you stumped. As ever, we will detail what prizes are on offer once you check each one off your list too. Read our Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 challenges guide for all of the information you will need.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Apply shields

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

First up on the Free challenges list is an easy task. You simply have to apply 400 points worth of shields. This one will be a real doozy to tick off if you’re not very good at Fortnite and keep getting hit by other players.

Pick up five Battle Stars as your reward for completing this one.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Visit different clocks

This one is a bit tricky if you don’t know where the clocks are. Luckily, we are here to provide some assistance. You need to visit three different clocks on the map to tick this challenge off, and earn yourself five Battle Stars.

To find out where they are based, we’ve provided you with their named locations. You can find them at Neo Tilted, Junk Junction, and Happy Hamlet.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Eliminate opponents in Snobby Shores or Mega Mall

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

Unlike the shields one, this will be a breeze if you’re good at the game. Eliminate seven opponents at either of the above-named locations, and you will complete this task. Pick up 10 Battle Stars for your troubles.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Deal damage with assault rifles

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

The first Battle Pass challenge is a simple one. All you have to do is deal 500 points of damage to opponents using any of the game’s assault rifles. This should be a cumulative challenge, so don’t fret if you don’t complete it in a single match. Once you have hurt others enough, you will get five Battle Stars.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Stage 1 land at Paradise Palms

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

As is customary with every weekly challenge event, there is a staged one that you will need to complete. This week requires you to visit a different named location to earn these five Battle Stars.

  • Stage 1  Land at Paradise Palms
  • Stage 2 — Land at Neo Tilted
  • Stage 3 — Land at Mega Mall
  • Stage 4 — Land at Pleasant Park
  • Stage 5 Land at Junk Junction

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Eliminations outside of named locations

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

This isn’t a tough challenge, but it can catch you out if you aren’t aware of your surroundings. Basically, you need to get five eliminations while you are not in a named location. That means that, if you kill someone in Lazy Lagoon, Pleasant Park, and other places with names, it won’t count towards this challenge.

Simply sit outside of a named area, and pick people off as they approach. You will soon have your quintet of kills, and 10 Battle Stars.

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges | Use a volcano vent, air vent, and zipline in a single match

Fortnite Season 9 Week 8 Challenges

The fourth and final Battle Pass challenge might seem daunting, but it isn’t that bad. You will have to use one each of the above-named modes of traversing the map, but there’s a particular place you can visit to get at least two of them.

If you head to the Pressure Plant part of the Fortnite map, there are plenty of volcano vents and zip lines around. You can easily check this duo off this challenge in that section, and then you only need to find yourself an air vent to complete the set.

Air vents are dotted around the map on Sky Platforms, but the nearest one is actually near to Pressure Plant. You can choose that one to earn yourself 10 Battle Stars for completing this task. If you leave this area, however, because it’s too busy you can head to Lazy Lagoon or Mega Mall to find a less populated air vent.

You can complete any four of the above seven challenges in any order you like. Doing so will earn you 8,000 XP, which is a decent haul if you ask us. Don’t forget to thank us on your way out.
