Driving directly behind another craft will keep the size of the waves down (and thus your speed up).
Certain portions of the course are designed to fling your craft into the air. Try and memorise these moments, as you won’t have much time to capitalise and pull off a trick.
Some tracks have little hidden areas that are worth OpenFeint achievements. Take your time in Hot Lap mode to see if you can find them.
