How do I unlock characters in Dr. Mario World?
There are two ways to get these Dr. Mario World characters. The first one is selecting from three starter doctors that you will use through the tutorial levels. You can choose between Dr. Mario, Dr. Peach, and Dr. Bowser, and the game lets you alternate between them so you can decide who is the best fit for you.
Once you reach level 10, you can pick one of these as your first main character. The other two get locked behind a paywall of sorts alongside the other seven characters.
Once you reach level 20, you’ll be able to start collecting the others. To unlock someone, you need to pay 4,000 coins, which you get rewarded with for playing the game, or cash in 40 diamonds, which are the game’s premium currency.
To unlock a character, head to the “Characters” option in the menu at the bottom of the screen, and then tap on “Staffing.” Be aware that you can’t choose who you unlock though. You’ll be given a random character out of the nine available. This means you can get two Dr. Luigi characters in a row.
However, pulling the same character increases the skill level of the one already in your roster. Once a character’s skill level is maxed out, they’ll be removed from rotation and you won’t pull them anymore.
