There are seven different meals that Black Pepper can be used in, each offering Miriam a unique advantage. The seven recipes that you can craft with Black Pepper are: Apple Risotto, Steak, Exquisite Steak, Consomme, Chicken Saute, Garlic Chicken, and Forneus Meuniere. We won’t go over each one of those recipes here, just know that Black Pepper is used in all of them!

Unlike some items, you won’t find Black Pepper by fighting an enemy. Instead, you’ll find it in a Blue Chest, however, it won’t be in just any Blue Chest. Black Pepper can only be found in Blue Chests that are located in the Underground Sorcery Lab in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. If you’re unfamiliar with this location, you’ll come to it after you have made it through the Bridge of Evil location.

This appears to be the only Bloodstained Black Pepper location in the game. Some items can be found at multiple locations or can be bought in the shop from Dominique, but that doesn’t appear to the the case for this one. So if you’re heading to the Underground Sorcery Lab, make sure to pick up some Black Pepper while you’re there!
