It won’t be long until you can get hands-on with the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 alpha. If you’re chomping at the bit to try out the 2v2 Gunfight mode, you’ll need to know when the preload date and time is. This is particularly pressing for PS4 fans as you’ll have to chance to play it before anyone else can. To see when the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 alpha will be ready to download and install, you’ll have to read on. Waste no more time, solider.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 Alpha | PS4
First things first, let’s detail the PS4 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 alpha date and time. The alpha will be coming to Sony consoles before its rivals and, as we mentioned, you won’t have to wait that long to play it.

The alpha will be available to download from the PS Store on Thursday, August 22. We know this because Activision Support, in response to a tweet about the date, revealed as much. They didn’t provide a time for when you can download it, but we suspect it’ll be around 9 AM PT, 12 PM ET, and 5 PM BST.
You won’t need a PS Plus subscription for the alpha either. As long as you own a PS4 and have an internet connection you’ll be able to try it out. There will be five close-quarter maps to choose from during the alpha, including new locations called Speedball and Docks. The alpha will run until Saturday, August 25, so you’ll have to fill your boots before it ends.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 Alpha | PC and Xbox One
Unfortunately, there won’t be an alpha test for PC or Xbox One owners. The alpha is only being tested on PS4 but, don’t worry, you’ll have a chance to try the game before its October 25 launch.
All three platforms will get a beta test later in the year, which is likely to be in September. This will help to test the game’s cross-play multiplayer functionality, so you’ll have to wait at least a month to get hands-on on PC or Xbox One.
