In one of last night’s more surprising Nintendo Direct announcements, it was confirmed that Deadly Premonition 2 is in development for the Nintendo Switch right now. Deadly Premonition 2 PS4 Release | Is it coming to PS4, PC, and Xbox One?
It was totally unexpected that a sequel to Deadly Premonition would be announced at all, let alone seemingly as a Nintendo Switch exclusive during a Nintendo Direct. That is exactly what happened, however. Does this mean that we will never see a Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise release on other platforms? Not exactly.

Deadly Premonition 2 PS4 Release
Despite the fact that it was announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation, it has since come out (thanks, Push Square) from publishers Rising Star Games that Deadly Premonition 2 is a Switch exclusive “at launch.” This means that it will be a timed exclusive to Switch at least. Rising Star Games also explained that it is “not discussing other platforms at this stage.”
If you ask us, this means that the game will release on other platforms after a period of timed-exclusivity on the Switch. We wouldn’t be surprised, therefore, to see the game release on PS4 at some point in the future. It did take around three years for the original game to be ported to the PS3 after it originally released on the Xbox 360, however. File this one under “could happen at some point.”
Deadly Premonition 2 PC Release
Just as with a potential PS4 release, a Deadly Premonition 2 PC release could well happen in the future. Again, we’ll need to wait and see before we hear an official word from the developers or publisher.
Deadly Premonition 2 Xbox One Release
Deadly Premonition 2 could come to the Xbox One, too. We’ll have to wait and see just how long it remains a Switch exclusive. Keep those fingers crossed, Deadly Premonition fans. For now, though, we’d recommend picking the game up on the Switch when it releases. Who knows how long it will remain exclusive?
