Borderlands 3 Technical Monster Wheels

How to unlock Borderlands 3 Technical Monster Wheels (Bug Fix)

There have been widespread reports that players are experiencing difficulties in unlocking the Borderlands 3 Technical Monster Wheels to upgrade their chosen vehicle. If you’ve been looking to kit your Technical out with some monstrous new wheels and left at a loss as to how to do so, here’s what we know about the situation so far.

How to get the Technical Monster Wheels in Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 Technical Monster Wheels

It’s commonly been reported that the Monster Wheels should be awarded to Borderlands 3 players upon completion of the Angels and Speed Demons quest alongside Vaughn’s paint job, but for many that hasn’t been the case. In conflicting reports, some users claim to have been granted the reward when completing the mission in True Vault Hunter Mode (TVHM), yet others contest this as they did not.

Nobody seems to be acquiring the Monster Wheels for their Technical vehicle while playing on normal mode, which leads us to believe that this is a case of a bugged quest reward that Borderlands 3 developer Gearbox Software will need to look into.

As for other methods of acquisition, reports are also a mixed bag on that front. A few players have claimed to receive the wheels by destroying the rare Skagzilla enemy vehicle spawn, most commonly found in open areas of the Droughts on Pandora, but many more say that they’ve had no luck even after encountering multiple Skagzilla vehicles.

This would seem to reaffirm that there isn’t yet a known means of acquiring the Technical Monster Wheels and that we’ll need to wait for an update from Gearbox on the matter. Hopefully, in acknowledging any error on their part, the developer will retroactively award players the otherwise elusive set of wheels. It’d be a real shame if completionists had to restart Borderlands 3 in order to get their hands on ’em.
