Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time iPhone Cheats

Tips and Tricks

If you want to unlock more worlds in Plants Vs Zombies 2, you're going to need to gather plenty of Stars. These are awarded from completing particularly challenging levels known as Brain Busters. You'll also get the opportunity to go back and earn more Stars from levels you've already beaten after completing the final "day" of each world.

Tempting though it is to use all of your juicy power-ups in regular levels, you should really save these up for the far more difficult Brain Busters. With the right power-ups, even these very tricky levels can be beaten comfortably. Hang on to all of your boosts, and you'll bank those precious Stars with ease.

Keep a close eye on the zombies you destroy, as they'll very often drop some spare change from their rotting corpses. Certain levels will also offer you bonus coins, so by all means stick around and grind out a little cash by repeating these levels when you feel like it.

To get more of this powerful stuff than Plant Food, destroy any glowing zombies that you see, then touch the food itself to add it to your bank.

Stay on your toes and throw the randomly offered object into the most pressing lane in the special survival stages of Plants Vs Zombies 2.

It is a good idea to put a defensive tool, if you have one, in a lane that doesn't have any firepower attached to it yet.

Offensive unit is best to put in the lane that has the most pressing incoming threat.

As the game suggests, you should try to get at least three sunflowers into play in each level, but don't focus on them one after another from the very start, or you'll soon become overwhelmed by the undead.

Having a Potato Mine into each stage is a great buy at a cost of 25 suns it's very cheap, has a quick recharge, and is incredibly useful in the early parts of each stage when you need to build up your economy, rather than splurging on offense.

The Wall-nut is also great for keeping the zombies at bay, and for buying you a little extra time to get your lawn in order but they also take a long time to recharge. Plant your main projectile zombies behind them, and if you need some extra damage done, place your potato mines in front of them.

Save the Power-up's for the Star missions which are much harder than the regular stages.

The best power-up is the gusty wind as it can clear the entire screen of zombies very quickly.

The fire-flinging plant costs only 150 suns to deploy and can clear out a lot of undead with its devastating damage.

For pottery protected zombies in the Egyptian stages get a Bloomerang plant into play - these are great for chipping through zombies and zombie armor.

Use plant food on sun-generating flowers and offensive units.

If you are getting close to the end of the stage where the zombie rush hits, or you are smack in the middle of the zombie rush, wait until the rush begins and then start using your plant food on plants, especially plants that are in the same row as most of the zombies.

Keep in mind you can get rid of items you've placed on the lawn and get some of the currency cost refunded back.
