Celebi, the Mythical Pokemon of the Johto region, is a highly sought-after creature that you can still get in Pokemon Go in 2023. While it was once only available through special events, Celebi is now obtainable through the completion of the A Ripple in Time Special Research quest.
How to get Celebi in Pokemon Go
You can still get Celebi in Pokemon Go in 2023. It was released at the start of Pokemon Go Fest in July 2018. Later in August of the same year it became globally available to all players through the A Ripple in Time Special Research Quest.
To get Celebi in Pokemon Go, you have to complete the Special Research Quest – A Ripple in Time.
How to unlock A Ripple in Time quest
To unlock the A Ripple in Time Special Research quest in Pokemon Go, you must first complete Part 7 of the A Mythical Discovery Special Research. This quest requires you to complete a series of tasks, including catching Psychic and Ghost-type Pokemon, battling in Raids, and evolving Pokemon.
Once you have completed Stage 7 of the A Ripple in Time Special Research quest you’ll be rewarded with an encounter with Celebi.
The A Ripple in Time Special Research quest consists of a series of eight tasks. Here is a breakdown of each task and its requirements:
