After taking its games off Steam in favor of its own distribution platform, it seems the Valve and EA have decided to partner up once more to bring EA Access to Steam. With this partnership, not only will EA games be available on Steam, but EA Access itself will be coming to Steam. Here is everything we know so far about the EA Access Steam release date.
When is the EA Access Steam release date?
The Valve and and EA team up will be kicking off on November 15, 2019 with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This will be the first of many EA titles to come to Steam in the near future. Over the course of the coming months, other EA titles will become available for purchase on Steam and in spring 2019, the EA Access subscription service will make its way to Steam.
While we don’t know the exact EA Access Steam release date, we do know EA will begin transitioning its games over to Steam in just a few short weeks. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that EA chose Star Wars to break Steam hiatus, as it is one of the few major games left to release in 2019. EA is promising more information on the EA Access Steam release date in the coming weeks and months, so for now we will have to wait to learn more.
Which EA games will be on Steam?
It’s currently unclear if every EA game will be coming to Steam, but EA was kind enough to confirm a handful of games for us. As you can see in the list below, there are five confirmed EA titles making their way to Steam in the coming months.
- Apex Legends
- Battlefield 5
- FIFA 20
- The Sims 4
- Unravel 2
While there are only a handful of confirmed games right now, it is highly likely that there will be plenty of other games transitioning to Steam as the EA Access Steam release date gets closer.
