Fortnite Battle Labs Crashing Fix | How to stop crashes

The Fortnite 11.31 patch just went live and introduced a new limited-time mode (LTM) by the name of Battle Labs. It looks to be an exciting and customizable game type that’ll prove a real treat for players during their holiday downtime this festive season, provided they can actually access it, that is. Players are having trouble launching the new mode, but is there a Fortnite Battle Labs crashing fix? Stick with us for everything you need to know about the situation.

Is there a Fortnite Battle Labs crashing fix?

If you’re curious to know more about Battle Labs, the LTM’s official description reads as follows:

Jump into your own Battle Royale island and set the rules! Select from favorite LTM loot pools, set up combat scenarios with the new Bot Grenades, and create your own mode by setting options like gravity and fall damage.

The level of freedom and reintroduction of past LTM loot pools is something that most Fortnite fans will be incredibly excited about, which makes the issues surrounding Battle Labs’ launch particularly unfortunate. That being said, as illustrated in the tweet below, developer Epic Games is aware of and actively working on addressing the problem.

If you really can’t wait for Epic to introduce a fix, there are a few troubleshooting steps that you can take in an attempt to get up and running.

Should you be encountering the Fortnite Battle Labs crashing glitch, try the following:

  • Close and reopen Fortnite, then attempt to play Battle Labs again
  • If that didn’t work, fully reboot the hardware you’re using to play the game and attempt once more
  • Still no luck? Since Fortnite is a free game, there’s no harm in downloading it on another platform and trying to access the LTM there

Hopefully, you’re now able to play Battle Labs in Fortnite. If not, then it looks like you’ll have to wait on an official fix for the time being.
