The first Rocket League update of 2020 is nearly here, with the Rocket League 1.73 update hitting consoles and PC on February 4, 2020. You can skip to the end of this guide to read through the complete list of Rocket League 1.73 update patch notes (when they go live, we’ll update this guide at the time). Read on to get an understanding of what’s coming in the Esports Shop update. We’ll detail everything that’s being added to the game below.
Rocket League 1.73 Update Highlights
As stated above, the new Rocket League version 1.73 update is primarily aimed at giving us new Esports Shop content to purchase. Right now, we’re unaware if anything else will be changing in the update or not as the full patch notes are not yet available. Of course, we’ll update this guide with the patch notes when they go live closer to February 4. For now, though, find out which Esports content will be added into the game.

New Esports Shop Content
Following the 1.73 update, you’ll find four new teams have been put into the Esports Shop in Rocket League. These are as follows:
- eUnited
- Pittsburgh Knights
- Team Reciprocity
- Veloce Esports
Thanks to Psyonix, we know that these teams will have the following items available to buy via the Esports Shop rotation:
- ARMR Wheels
- Bionic Wheels
- Dominus Decal
- Octane Decal
- Patriarch Wheels
- Player Banner
On top of all of that, NRG Esports is being updated to get in-line with the team’s new logos. The new-look NRG Esports items will be added into Esports Shop rotation along with the above new team items. If you want to rep the old NRG designs still, you can, as those items will remain in your inventory, but it seems you won’t be able to buy items of that design anymore.
Fan Rewards are being updated following the 1.73 patch, too. Currently, though, it’s unknown how exactly. Look out for more details on Fan Rewards following the update on February 4.

- Anyone who owns previous versions of NRG items will still own those previous versions in their inventory
Fan Rewards
- New Fan Rewards will be available during Rocket League Esports broadcasts this month
