As is typically the case, as soon as developer Epic Games took Fortnite down to implement the latest patch, data-miners got to work uncovering all sorts of secrets pertaining to new content being added to the game. They uncovered the usual things like new skins — including one for Birds of Prey star Harley Quinn — but there was something altogether more curious in the mix this time around. The existence of a strange Fortnite Agent Meowsicles file was discovered, featuring 90 seconds of what’s essentially elevator music with a cat meowing over the top of it.
What is Agent Meowsicles in Fortnite?
This bizarre sound file, which you can listen to in full below, courtesy of the (unofficial) Fortnite News Twitter account, has a hidden secret. When it’s run through a spectrograph (used for photographing spectra), the resulting image depicts a cat and a dead fish. There is audio in the event files called "AgentMeowscles".

It’s safe to say that the Fortnite community as a whole is somewhat baffled by the strange addition. With that being said, there are a couple of clues that might (or might not) indicate who or what exactly Agent Meowsicles is.
Firstly, we know that the weird meowing sound relates to an event due to where the file was found in the game’s code. It doesn’t seem to fit in with any announced events, so all will presumably become clear in time when Epic Games reveals its upcoming plans.
The name “Agent Meowsicles” combined with the sound file indicates that Agent Meowsicles is likely a cat, all things considered. “Meowsicles” could also be a play on the word “musicals,” tying into the musical nature of the discovery. As such, we could be set to get some sort of musical in-game event hosted by a cat in the not-too-distant future.
