The Fortnite Gold Hunting Rifle has many players stumped, apparently appearing in the game following the latest update, but not yet available in the game’s Battle Royale mode. Not only in the Gold Hunting Rifle location a mystery for many, but some are also confused at why such a weapon would exist in the first place, as surely the Hunting Rifle doesn’t need a Legendary variant? Thankfully, we’ve tracked down everything you need to know about the Gold Hunting Rifle in Fortnite. Read on for the full details.
Where is the Gold Hunting Rifle in Fortnite?
At the time of writing, which is just after the 12.00 update has been rolled out, implementing a huge number of changes for Chapter 2 – Season 2, there is only one place where you can get your hands on the Gold Hunting Rifle within Fortnite.
As initially captured by “Nourished” on YouTube, the Legendary Hunting Rifle can be found in the game’s Playground mode. In the video comments, they explain that they found it inside of a regular chest, though this would likely change if the weapon ever made it into competitive Battle Royale.
The Fortnite Gold Hunting Rifle is expected to be used in an upcoming “Sniper Shootout” mode, and so might only be limited to that game type.
According to “Nourished,” the Gold Hunting Rifle stats are:
- Body shot: 100 damage
- Headshot 250 damage
Sounds pretty beastly to me. You don’t want to be on the receiving end of an accurate player with this weapon!
If you want to use the Legendary Gold Hunting Rifle in Fortnite, you’ll want to head into the game’s Playground mode. If you’re trying to find this weapon in Battle Royale, then you’re sadly out of luck.
