Control 1.09 Update Patch Notes | The Foundation update

A brand-new Control update has released today. Skip to the end of this guide to read through the complete list of Control 1.09 update patch notes. We’ve also stuck the Control 1.08 update patch notes at the end of this guide, as it seems that update also released late last night/early this morning. Below, you’ll also find a selection of the 1.09 update highlights. Find out what the update brings with it, right in time for The Foundation DLC on March 26, 2020 (PC and PS4).

Control 1.09 Update Highlights

Control 1.09 update

Unfortunately, there’s not much to tell you about when it comes to the 1.09 update in Control. As stated above, it appears as though the 1.09 update is simply there to fix a handful of small issues the (as soon as this morning) recently release 1.08 update brought with it. As such, we’ll run you through the highlights of what both the 1.09 and 1.08 update brought to Control’s table.

Version 1.09 update highlights

We have just the one patch note to go on when it comes to Control version 1.09. This is as follows:

  • General bug fixes and performance improvements

That’s all. What we can surmise is that the newly-released 1.08 update brought with it a few little bugs and performance issues. Hopefully, following the 1.09 update, these have been fixed.

Version 1.08 update highlights

The 1.08 update for Control brought with it many changes and improvements. This includes improved readability of the map, a revised ability tree, and the brand-new Shield Rush ability upgrade for the Shield ability. Other additions include being able to zoom in on documents (finally), DLSS 2.0 support on PC, and more, which we’ll go through in the patch notes below.

Alongside the additions, some gameplay improvements have been made. Charge now deals more damage, for example, and Tier 3 Expedition rewards should be of the correct value. Read through the full list of patch notes below for more details on it all.
