Below are the patch notes for the new Nintendo Switch 10.0.1 update:
- General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.
The brand new Nintendo Switch update has been released after the company announced new Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario Maker 2 updates, which both bring a substantial heap of content to the popular games. The Animal Crossing update includes a bunch of widely requested additions, including a museum upgrade which now contains an artwork gallery, Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler, and Leif’s Garden Shop.
Nintendo’s previous update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons featured the widely-criticized Bunny Day, but it looks like the game’s next free update will be a much more positive addition. The addition of Leif will allow players to finally be able to plant bushes on their island, giving them an alternative to the fencing that’s currently available, while players will also be able to hand over artwork to Blathers alongside fossils, bugs, and fish.
The new update will also prepare New Horizons for three new events — May Day, International Museum Day, and Wedding Season. These events will take place across May and June, with the latter seeing the return of Cyrus and Reese.
Super Mario Maker 2‘s new update has now gone live, too, adding a whole host of items including special power-ups from Super Mario Bros. 2, and a new Worlds feature allowing players to combine their levels into an overworld.
While the new Nintendo Switch update may not be a large one, it at least improves console stability as these two big new updates for two of its most popular games roll out.
