The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare dismemberment rounds are a peculiar feature to have in the game. You’d think any gun in the game would dismember its victim after blast through them. But what does Modern Warfare dismemberment mean? And what guns have dismemberment rounds?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Dismemberment Rounds | What are they?
Dismemberment rounds are rounds that obliterate your enemies and send limbs flying. This was added in Season 2 of the game. Once the enemy you are shooting at dies, the limbs you shout off will go every which way. If you shoot the head, it’ll explode. If you shoot the arms, they’ll fly off. It’s quite gory and definitely worth the Mature rating. Just remember that it isn’t on every gun and is only for special weapons, which are marked (and you can read about them below).
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Dismemberment Rounds | What guns have it?
There are a few guns that have dismemberment rounds and they are all acquired through blueprints. The new Iskra bundle contains two guns with it. The same can be said for the Mace Operator pack, Talon Operator pack, and Brutalizer pack. These all cycle through the Call of Duty store and are worth various amounts of COD Points (Operator bundles will be more expensive). You can tell what guns have dismemberment rounds by the red font in the description, as you can see in the above picture. The guns with Modern Warfare dismemberment rounds are:
- Insurgency (Iskra Operator bundle)
- Heresy (Iskra Operator bundle)
- Bludgeoner (Mace Operator bundle)
- Skullhammer (Mace Operator bundle)
- Black Bear (Talon Operator pack)
- Elk Rut (Talon Operator pack)
- Torn (Brutalizer pack)
- Asunder (Brutalizer pack)
Infinity Ward will likely add more in the future so be on the lookout.
