Is there a Valorant Epic Games Store release date?

Now that the game is out at long last, it seems many of you are wondering if there will be a Valorant Epic Games Store release date. Is there a Valorant Epic Games Store release date?

Valorant Epic Games Store

Valorant is not available to download on the Epic Games Store. As of writing, there is no word on an Epic Games Store release date for Valorant and it’s unlikely that there ever will be. While we will not be surprised to see Valorant launch on the Epic Games Store at some point (stranger things have happened), it does seem unlikely.

Valorant can only be downloaded directly through Riot Games. You’ll need to head to playvalorant.com to download, install, and then play Valorant. We’d wager this will be the only way to download and play Valorant. Other games from Riot Games have failed to release on the Epic Games Store and Steam, even. It would appear as though Riot Games likes to keep its own games on its own platforms, not releasing them elsewhere. We don’t see this changing with Valorant any time soon, at least.

Despite it all, however, we will never say never about potential releases such as this. You never know what’s going to happen in the future. It’s very unlikely that a Valorant Epic Games Store release will ever happen, but you cannot write it off completely. We’ll have to wait and see, just don’t expect it at any point. For now, though, Valorant is not on the Epic Games Store. You’ll have to make do with downloading the game via playvalorant.com, which we’ve handily linked to above.
