Every noteworthy piece of legendary gear in Fallout 76 shares one component in common: A Legendary Module. These crafting components are required for essentially all of the game’s highest-level armor and weapons, and as you may expect, they’re not exactly easy to come by. Here’s where to find Legendary Modules in Fallout 76 and a few examples of the equipment they’re used to craft.
Fallout 76 | Where to get Legendary Modules
Legendary Modules in Fallout 76 must be purchased from Purveyor Murmrgh. She can be found either at Berkeley Springs Station or The Rusty Pick. Legendary Modules cost 50 scrip each, and most Legendary equipment requires either one or two modules in order to be crafted.
If you haven’t played for a while, the currency known as legendary scrip (or just scrip) was added in a patch back in May of 2019. Scrip exists solely to be spent at the Purveyor, whose main inventory consists of — you guessed it — Legendary Modules. The Purveyor also sells legendary armor and weapons, but they’re randomized, so most players prefer to simply craft their own.
For those in the later stages of the game, Legendary Modules are effectively mandatory. They’re used in the construction of all the most powerful and most popular gear in Fallout 76, including Power Armor. This includes end-game and Wastelanders gear such as the Solar Armor as well as the devastating Plasma Caster energy weapon.
Dedicated Fallout 76 players will want to keep Legendary Modules handy, as they’re the main crafting component needed for high-end gear. Unfortunately, that means you’re going to have to hand your hard-earned scrip over to the Purveyor. If that seems like too much of a grind, a word to the wise: It’s best to hold onto your Legendary Modules until you’re sure of what armor or weapon you’d like to craft next.
