World of Tanks Cross-Play | Can PS4, Xbox One, and PC play together?

Is World of Tanks cross-play? The vehicular combat game has been around for years now, but has it been updated with the latest online features? Stick around as we cover the ins and outs of W0T cross-platform play between PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

World of Tanks Cross-Play | Is WoT cross-platform?

World of Tanks cross-play

As of the recent 5.0 updateWorld of Tanks cross-play is supported between PS4 and Xbox One. Although console players can now engage each other in armored combat, WoT PC does not feature cross-platform support.

World of Tanks players on the PC platform cannot enter online multiplayer matches with those on Xbox or PlayStation 4. Developer Wargaming (specifically Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore) likely made this decision with the gameplay balance in mind. In most shooters, using a keyboard and mouse in place of a gamepad allows for much faster reaction times and overall accuracy.

The decision isn’t all that surprising when you consider the game’s history. World of Tanks originally featured cross-play between the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions, but not PC.

In the new WoT season, players can command a range of Superstar Collector Tanks themed around iconic wrestlers. WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and The Undertaker feature alongside WWE Hall of Famers Andre the Giant, Sgt. Slaughter, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Stone Cold’s tanks will be available free to all players (and can be seen above).

In other WWE news, WWE 2K Battlegrounds was recently showcased during Nintendo’s Mini Direct. Fans might’ve expected too much from the stream, but we did at least get announcements for a Shin Megami Tensei 3 remaster and Shin Megami Tensei V.
