Racial Bonuses
One of the most important decisions in any Elder Scrolls game is picking a race, as it comes with a series of passive abilities that act as important buffs and help shape your character(s). The Elder Scrolls Online is no different, and listed below are the racial abilities in the game.
Altmer
- Destruction Talent: Increases experience with Destructive Skill line by 15 percent.
- Spellcharge: Increases Magicka Recovery while in combat by three percent.
- Gift of Magnus: Increases maximum Magicka by four percent.
- Elemental Talent: Increases damage with Cold, Fire, or Shock effects by two percent.
Argonian
- Histskin (Ultimate Ability): Greatly increases health regeneration for a short time.
- Restoration Expertise: Increases skill experience when using Restoration Staff.
- Amphibious: Allows character to move at full speed in water and increases Stamina regeneration while swimming.
- Argonian Resistance: Increases resistance to poison and disease.
- Quick to Mend: Increases healing from all sources.
Bosmer
- Archery Expertise: Increases Bow skill line experience by 15 percent.
- Vigor: Increases Stamina Recovery while in combat by three percent.
- Resist Affliction: Increase Poison and Disease resistance by seven percent. Increase maximum Stamina by one percent.
Breton
- Light Armor Affinity: Increases experience gain with the Light Armor skill line by 15 percent.
- Gift of Magnus: Increases maximum Magicka by four percent.
- Spell Resistance: Increases Spell Resistance by 32.
- Magicka Mastery: Reduces the Magicka cost of spells by one percent.
Dunmer
- Ancestral Guardian (Ultimate Ability): Summons an Ancestral Guardian to protect the Vestige.
- Ambidexterity: Increases experience with Dual Wield skill line by 15 percent.
- Dynamic: Increases maximum Magicka and Stamina by five percent.
- Resist Flame: Increases resistance to fire damage.
- Flame Talent: Increases damage for fire-based attacks.
Imperial
- Shield Affinity: Increase One-Hand and Shield skill line experience by 15 percent.
- Conditioning: Increases max Stamina by four percent.
- Tough: Increases max Health by four percent.
- Red Diamond: 10 percent change to restore three points of Health on successful hit.
Khajiit
- Medium Armor Expertise: Increases experience with Heavy Armor skill line by 15 percent.
- Robust: Increases Health regeneration while in combat by five percent.
- Stealthy: Increases Stealth Radius of the character by one.
- Carnage: Increases critical rating for Melee attacks by 10 and damage done by successful critical hits by five percent.
Nord
- Battle Cry (Ultimate Ability): Increases damage for the character and his/her allies.
- Two-Handed Weapon Expertise: Increase experience with Two-handed Weapon skill line by 15 percent.
- Robust: Increases Health regeneration while in combat by five percent.
- Resist Frost: Increases resistance to cold damage.
- Rugged: Increases Armor rating, making it more effective.
Orsimer
- Heavy Armor Expertise: Increases experience with Heavy Armor skill line by 15 percent.
- Brawny: Increases maximum Health and maximum Stamina by two percent.
- Robust: Increases Health Regeneration in combat by five percent.
- Swift: Reduces cost of sprint by four percent and increases sprint speed by three percent.
Redguard
- Shield Affinity: Increases experience gain with One-handed and Shield skill line by 15 percent.
- Vigor: Increases Stamina recovery while in combat by three percent.
- Conditioning: Increases maximum Stamina by four percent.
- Adrenaline Rush: Restores one Stamina to the player when damaging an enemy with a Melee attack. This can occur no more than once every three seconds.
