Valorant Act 2 Changes - New Agent Rewards and Ranks

We’re just under a week away from the launch date of Valorant‘s Episode 1, Act 2. Since Valorant is still a relatively new game, the second act will build on the foundation established by the first while taking things in a new direction. As such, it’s no surprise that Act 2 brings about updated rewards, a new badge, and even a new character — the Agent known as Killjoy.

For some players, the most important details will all involve loot. Each Chapter (of each Act, of each Episode) will bring opportunities to earn rewards such as titles, weapon charms, sprays, player cards, and coveted weapon skins. All players will be able to earn rewards, but those who purchase the Battlepass for 1,000 Valorant Points will be entitled to even more of them.

On the other hand, competitive players will probably want to know how their rank will be affected. Act 2 introduces Act Ranks, which change your competitive standing based on an adjusted set of criteria. A visual indication of your rank, called the Act Rank, will gradually fill with match wins at any given rank. As you win at higher ranks, the lower-ranked wins will be phased out. At the end of the Act, your Act Rank will be determined based around your nine best ranked wins during the Act. These will also determine your Act Rank Badge, which will be displayed on your player card in the following Act.

There’s a lot of changes coming in Valorant Act 2, especially for competitive players. You can look forward to jumping into the action starting next week.
