Is there a Persona 4 Golden PS4 release date? Following the game’s success on both the PS Vita and now PC via Steam, the PS4 would be a solid bet as to what platform the Atlus classic JRPG releases on next. Read on to find out if there is a Persona 4 Golden PS4 version or not.

Discover below how likely we think a Persona 4 Golden on PS4 port is and if we’ll ever see the game release on Sony’s current-gen home console.

Is there a Persona 4 Golden PS4 release date?

Persona 4 Golden PS4

No. As of writing, there is no sign of a Persona 4 Golden PS4 release date. You can currently play the expanded remake of the game on the PS Vita and on PC via Steam. Unfortunately, with the PS5 right around the corner, we think it’s unlikely that Persona 4 Golden will release on PS4. If it was going to, we like to think that it would have already done so by now. This doesn’t mean, however, that a PS4 port won’t happen.

Despite thinking it is unlikely to release on PS4, we wouldn’t be shocked if it does before the end of the year. This is because its PC re-release performed well. Thanks to this post from gamesindustry.biz, detailing a Sega investor Q&A, we know that the game sales of the PC release were “significantly higher than expected.” Sega added that “going forward,” it intends “to aggressively promote the porting of previously launched titles to Steam and other new platforms.”

Could Sega be planning to re-release other old Atlus and Sega games on PC and, potentially, the PS4/PS5? It certainly sounds like it. We’ll have to wait and see what comes of Sega’s new direction, which also includes a “multi-platform rollout… from the start.” Hopefully, it means that we’ll get a Persona 4 Golden PS4 or PS5 port at some point in the future.
