Dev error 6034 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone is a problem of bad data. It appears when one or more of the game’s files becomes corrupted or unreadable. You can fix dev error 6034 by deleting the problematic files and repairing the game software.

As with so many other Call of Duty error codes, 6034 doesn’t provide a description of the problem. And, in the all-too-common fashion, Activision Support has not provided a description of the issue. Thankfully, the game’s community has provided a number of potential fixes, including one particularly effective solution.

Here’s how to fix dev error 6034:

  1. Navigate to the installation folder for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Warzone
  2. In the install directory, delete the following files:
    • .patch.result
    • .product
    • vivoxsdk_x64.dll
    • Launcher.db
    • Modern Warfare Launcher.exe
  3. Open the Battle.net launcher, then use the Scan and Repair tool

This first part of this process will delete the corrupted files causing dev error 6034. The final part uses Battle.net’s Scan and Repair option to replace the missing files with working ones.

Several of the Call of Duty dev error codes are caused by corrupt files. Because of this, we suggest you make sure that game downloads and updates are not interrupted for any reason. Don’t pause and resume, don’t turn off your computer, and make sure each update is installed completely before launching the game. No one knows why, but interrupted downloads and updates seem to be the main culprit behind 6034 and a number of other dev error codes.
