Figuring out how to find the Shum arcade cabinet in the Control AWE DLC may confuse some people since the game doesn’t put a giant, flashing arrow near it. But it is obviously there and has some functionality you may not expect. So where do you find the arcade cabinet? And what does it do? You will need this for the Workplace Recreation trophy or achievement.

The Shum arcade cabinets are in Active Investigations section in the Investigations Sector. You can check the above map for the location. The red rectangle is the general area and the red arrow in the bottom left is exactly where the cabinet is.

To be more specific, the cabinets are in an office near the big elevator. Here, you will find the Shum and Shum 2 arcade cabinets. You can only access the first Shum arcade when you start. So how do you get access to Shum 2? You have to beat one of the Shum games. That should unlock Shum 2 and then you will be able to replay any of the big bosses and the Ashtray Maze.

The original Shum is more straightforward. It holds a couple modes. It has a regular Horde-esque mode called Crowd Control where you just kill enemies and after about 10 or so minutes of constant combat, you’ll “win” and then unlock the challenge version of it. There is another mode, too, called Deadline where you have 30 seconds on the clock and get five more seconds for every enemy you kill. You have to kill 50 enemies before time runs out.

Beating the games unlocks mods, materials, and case files and perhaps even more if you’re good enough. But if you just want the Workplace Recreation trophy or achievement, you just have to play one game.
