COD: Black Ops Cold War | PC System Requirements

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War - PC System Requirements Minimum Recommended

Potentially steep PC system requirements for Black Ops Cold War should come as no surprise, as the game is launching as a cross-gen title. It’s optimized to run on current-generation consoles, but the experience is designed with high-end PC hardware or next-generation consoles in mind.

With that said, the full system requirements have not yet been revealed. However, they’re expected at minimum to be the same as Modern Warfare 2019, as both it and Warzone run on the same engine and will feature numerous cross-progression features. As such, the old requirements form a decent baseline for comparison.

Here are the estimated Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War system requirements:

Minimum:

  • CPU: Intel Core i3 4340 / AMD FX-6300 or equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670/1650 / Radeon HD 7950 or equivalent
  • RAM: 8GB
  • HDD: 175GB free space (potentially shares data with Warzone)
  • OS: Windows 7 or Windows 10 64-bit
  • DirectX 12

Recommended:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2500k / AMD Ryzen R5 1600X or equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970/1660 / Radeon R9 390/RX 580 or equivalent
  • RAM: 12GB
  • HDD: 175GB free space (potentially shares data with Warzone)
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit with latest service pack
  • DirectX 12

Ultra RTX:

If you’re looking to run Black Ops Cold War with RTX graphics, here’s a look at the estimated requirements for 4K Ultra RTX gameplay:

  • CPU: Intel i7-9700K / AMD Ryzen 2700X or equivalent
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super
  • RAM: 16GB
  • HDD: 175GB free space
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit with latest service pack
  • DirectX version 11 or compatible equivalent

Chances are good that if your computer can run Modern Warfare 2019, it will be able to run Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Naturally, the system requirements will get higher as you try to run the game at extended resolutions or with RTX enabled. Alternatively, you can pre-order a cross-gen version of the game to play on release day and pick up the action on the next-gen console of your choice.
