Now, people have begun complaining about Rocket League freezing and crashes on PS4 and other platforms.

How to fix Rocket League freezing PS4
To try and fix the freezing in Rocket League on PS4 in 2020, you should try a number of fixes, including updating your PS4 system software, reinstalling Rocket League, and clearing your PlayStation Cache. The officially recommended list of fixes (H/T: Rocket League support) is as follows:
- Check for the error message and search it here
- Make sure your PS4 system software is up-to-date
- Clear your PS4 Cache
- Turn your PS4 off
- Wait for the light on your PS4 to stop blinking
- Unplug your PS4
- Wait a couple of minutes
- Plug it back in and turn it back on
- Boot up Rocket League
- Rebuild your PS4 database
- Turn your PS4 on with the console’s power button and hold it until it beeps twice (there should be around seven seconds between beeps)
- Connect your Dualshock 4 and press its PS button
- Choose “Rebuild Database”
- Reinstall Rocket League
Hopefully, one of the above fixes works for you. If they don’t work, however, there some other fixes you can try:
- Make sure PSN isn’t down
- Make sure Rocket League servers aren’t down
- Try DownDetector or official Rocket League/Epic Games Status Twitter
- Exit the game and try again later
- Make sure your internet connection is working
