There is no Second Extinction Xbox One release date at the moment. The game is out now on PC via Steam Early Access, though the developers have stated fans can expect  “more to come” on the console-exclusive Xbox version next year in 2021.

Second Extinction was one of the first games to be revealed for Xbox Series X a few months back at the (somewhat underwhelming) third-party software showcase. Although it’s been in development for a while now, Second Extinction won’t be an Xbox Series X launch game. Instead, gamers can expect to hear more about (and potentially play) Second Extinction on Xbox next year.

When the Second Extinction Xbox Series X launch day does eventually roll around, the game will support Smart Delivery. That means owners of Second Extinction on Xbox One can upgrade to Xbox Series X or Series S version for free.
