How to get dandelion seeds in Genshin Impact - where to find

To get dandelion seeds in Genshin Impact, you first need find dandelions. These flowers are located in abundance around Mondstadt, including four near the northeastern shore of the city island. There’s also a cluster to be found just a short ways northwest of the Mondstadt Shrine.

Once you find some dandelions, you’ll need to harvest their seeds. To get the seeds to drop, all you need to do is hit them with an Anemo ability. The Traveler likely has a wind ability on deck, but you can also use characters with Anemo skills, such as Venti.

Hit the flower with a wind ability, and a dandelion seed will drop. Dandelions tend to grow in clusters, too, so search the area if you’re looking to farm as many dandelion seeds as possible.

Why might you need these seeds? That part is easy. Dandelion seeds are used in crafting and alchemy as well as Character Ascensions for Jean. They can be used to create Gushing Essential Oil, which buffs Anemo damage; Windbarrier Potion, which provides Anemo resistance; and Anemoculus Resonance Stone, which is very useful for finding nearby Anemoculus.

You should always been on the lookout for dandelions in Genshin Impact, since dandelion seeds are a good way to buff Anemo damage or resistance. This is especially true if you’re fond of Jean, the wind-imbued Knight of Favonius. Before you head back out into the wild, be sure to check out our guide on the best way to farm Mora quickly.
