Streets of Tarkov release date

Streets of Tarkov | When is the new EFT map release date?

The immensely popular Escape from Tarkov is still in early access, which means it’s far from content complete. Players are particularly excited about the upcoming Streets of Tarkov map, however, which promises to be the biggest and perhaps best yet. But, is there a release date for the new EFT Raid map? Here’s the latest from developer Battlestate Games.

EFT | What is the Streets of Tarkov release date?

Streets of Tarkov release date

Streets of Tarkov is a hugely ambitious Raid map that’s coming to Escape from Tarkov. It covers a massive area featuring residential housing and all sorts of public hotspots including banks, shopping malls, hotels, and more. In another game, each one of those locations could be a standalone multiplayer map — that’s the sort of scale being dealt with here.

EFT‘s new Streets of Tarkov Raid map is launching in 2021. The all-new Escape from Tarkov location should have launched last year, but, during an episode of the TarkovTV podcast on Twitch, Battlestate Games announced that the pandemic had caused a delay.

Unfortunately, the developers didn’t give any specifics beyond the fact that the Escape from Tarkov Streets of Tarkov update will launch later this year. Judging by the teaser trailer (below), it’s possible that there might not be too long to wait. The new map looked impressive six months ago when the teaser first launched, so there’s reason to hope that it’s now nearing completion.

With new game releases currently few and far between, many players have returned to or just discovered Escape from Tarkov for the first time. A recent sale capitalized on the situation, leading to increased player numbers that may have played a part in causing some matchmaking and server issues.
