Limited-time Elusive Targets debuted in the World of Assassination trilogy, though have already become a fan-favorite mainstay in the Hitman franchise. At launch, however, IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 does not feature any. So, when is the Hitman 3 Elusive Targets release date? Here’s the need-to-know for players on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia.
When are Elusive Targets coming to Hitman 3?
Elusive Targets present Hitman players with challenging new ways to complete the levels they already know and love. They add tons of competition and replayability to the stealth series, which explains why many are bemoaning their absence in Hitman 3 on release day. Will Hitman 3 get Elusive Targets in the future, though? Or has the new Hitman game dropped Elusive Targets?
Hitman 3 will receive a free post-launch update adding the Elusive Targets game mode across all available platforms. A 2021 Elusive Targets release date for Hitman 3 seems likely. It’s worth noting, however, that IOI hasn’t unveiled an exact launch day for the patch at the time of writing.

Expect updates as more information on Elusive Targets in Hitman 3 becomes known.
Hitman 3‘s Elusive Targets will function in a mostly familiar fashion, as detailed in an IOI blog post. Elusive Targets remain the “ultimate Hitman challenge” as players receive “little-to-no help” in carrying out the advanced assassination contracts. There may be a new twist, however, as the developers also promise “some changes to the Elusive Target formula” that will be revealed at a later date.
Hitman 3 is already one of the series’ best entries, and the arrival of all-new Elusive Targets only stands to make it better. Another feature that isn’t available at launch, but can only improve the experience, is ray tracing on PC.
While the latest Hitman title is mostly great, players have taken issue with “disrespectful” Arabic translations within the Dubai level.
