Where are the upgrade benches located in Biomutant?
Biomutant upgrade benches are found in balloons surrounding villages and outposts.
The balloons can be found flying slightly above the ground. They are tethered to the ground by a chain. Players can use a rope to climb up into the balloon.
Once in the basket, players will need to interact with the weapon or armor upgrade bench. This will open a menu where “Material” and/or “Quality” can be upgraded.
Upgrade benches are great at provided quick buffs to weapons or armor, without the need to craft something entirely new. Of course, this function still requires resources for each upgrade, so players should weigh the pros and cons of using an upgrade bench versus creating an entirely new weapon.
When entering a new village and visiting stores, it can be confusing to see “Upgrade Bench” on the list. Instead of having the benches located on the ground, they are instead (inexplicably) in the air.
While it’s possible for players to go through the entire game without ever interacting with an upgrade bench, those having a tough time with high-level enemies or losing health too quickly will want to try an upgrade bench for a helpful boost.
