Fortnite ineligible for event error fix

Fortnite fans are jumping into the game for the latest event, a concert from Ariana Grande. Fortnite Battle Royale is free, meaning the concert is open to everyone. Fortnite: Ineligible for Event error fix

While Fortnite events are open to all, players under the age of 13 are ineligible to attend them. This is likely due to the nature of the music involved in the event, which may contain adult language. The game is saying you’re ineligible for the event based on the birth date you provided when creating your account.

This might seem like an odd choice on the part of Epic Games, but it does make some sense. Even though live events are specially curated, the content within may not be suitable for all audiences. Fortnite is otherwise quite family friendly, but it’s possible that parents or caretakers may object to the lyrics or themes that can be heard during concerts.

Unfortunately, there’s really not much you can do in the way of a fix. Many players created their Epic Games account through other console platforms, meaning the date is linked to their PS or Xbox accounts. You could try changing them all, but by the time you’re done, the event will probably be over.

Instead, the simpler solution is just to watch it live. These sorts of Fortnite events are the same for all players, so the action you’d see during a stream is largely the same as what you’d see if playing yourself.

Fortnite says you’re ineligible for an event if your stated age is under 13. That’s not to say the content of the event is meant for mature audiences, per se, but that it may not be appropriate for those under 13. You can try to change your age as a quick fix, but it’d be a lot easier just to stream the event you’re ineligible to take part in.
