iPhone 13 refresh rate

What is the iPhone 13 refresh rate?

The iPhone 13 range makes some big performance upgrades across the board. Is there an Apple iPhone 13 refresh rate boost, though? Fortunately, the Apple Event 2021 live stream gave consumers details on the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, and iPhone 13 Pro refresh rates. So, here’s the lowdown on whether the new smartphones display at 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz FPS.

What is the iPhone 13, Mini, and Pro refresh rate?

iPhone 13 refresh rate

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini refresh rate is 60Hz. Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max both feature 120Hz ProMotion displays, however.

Sadly, the standard iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Mini do not feature a frame rate upgrade. The iPhone 13 Pro models, on the other hand, double the base resolution to offer users a far more responsive experience. Thanks to the new iPhone 13 ProMotion feature, the Pro and Pro Max can even adjust what frame rate they display on the fly.

iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models can adapt all the way down to being 10Hz displays, depending on what content the user is consuming. This will assist with preserving battery life when users don’t need to utilize up to 120Hz FPS display technology. ProMotion helps the iPhone 13 Pro to achieve “all-day battery life,” according to Apple.

During the Apple Event 2021 stream, several app developers made an appearance to discuss how 120Hz support on iPhone 13 Pro helps to make for a better experience. Perhaps most notably, many games will run twice as smoothly on the Pro and Pro Max iPhone 13 models — this makes them especially enticing for mobile gamers looking to secure a competitive edge.

There is no iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini ProMotion support for 120Hz refresh rates. Despite this, both smartphone models mark a big upgrade over their predecessors.
