Is the Apple Watch Series 7 worth buying?

Is the Apple Watch Series 7 worth buying?

It’s hard not to look at the new Apple Watch Series 7 without a bit of envy. Apple’s latest smart watch is loaded with features, and sports the biggest display ever. But is there more to it than that? What does the Series 7 do that the Series 6 can’t? More to the point, is the Series 7 worth buying if you’ve already got an Apple Watch?

Should I buy the Apple Watch Series 7 if I have a different model?

Should I buy the Apple Watch Series 7 if I have a past model?

The Apple Watch Series 7 is a big enough improvement over the past models to warrant a purchase. It doesn’t do much that the Series 6 can’t do, but for many, it will be worth buying just for the bigger screen.

In case you haven’t heard, the Series 7 screen is almost 20% larger than the screen on the Series 6. Apple accomplished this by reducing the screen’s borders by 40%. Naturally, this makes for a huge increase in screen size when compared to past models. For instance, Series 7 screen is over twice as big as the Series 3 screen.

Naturally, it’s a lot faster and more responsive than past models as well. That’s sort of a given, as Apple always makes each model a bit better than before. But that’s not necessarily the case when compared directly against the previous generation model.

Is the Apple Watch Series 7 worth buying as an upgrade?

If you already have the Series 6 Apple Watch, the Series 7 isn’t worth the extra cost. Aside from the bigger screen, there’s not enough under the hood to make the upgrade worth the price.

However, if you don’t own Apple’s signature smart watch at all, there are a few reasons to opt for this latest model. The bigger screen is obvious, but the Series 7 also includes extra durability features such as crack, dust, and water resistance. Even the front crystal has been redesigned for added strength. Not only is the Series 7 the fastest model, it should also be the strongest.

Otherwise, the functions and software within are largely the same as with the Series 6. You’ll still get access to a host of applications, health monitoring, and general convenience features.

Basically, the Apple Watch Series 7 is worth buying for anyone who doesn’t already own the Series 6. It’s a slight improvement over the previous model, but it’s a vast improvement over the Series 3, particularly when it comes to display size. Best of all, the new Series 7 will be priced at $399 for the GPS version, meaning you won’t have to pay any more than you would have for the previous model. If that sounds good to you, here’s how you can preorder your own.
