Pokemon TCG Live beta

Pokemon TCG Live beta start date and how to access

What is the Pokemon TCG Live beta start date? The new Pokemon Trading Card Game Live is coming soon and it’ll be a full replacement for the old Pokemon TCG Online, which will apparently be shut down just prior to the new app going live. However, before the new version becomes available there will be a testing period where a beta will be available — so when can players expect to see the Pokemon TCG Live soft launch start, and how can they access the Pokemon TCG Live beta?

What is the Pokemon TCG Live beta start date?

Pokemon TCG Live beta

The Pokemon TCG Live beta or soft launch on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android will launch “later this year,” so sometime in the next three months.

A more exact start date for the beta has not yet been released, although The Pokemon Company confirms that Pokemon TCG Online would be available to play and would not shut down until after beta testing has been completed.

All cards available or attached to players’ Pokemon TCG Online accounts will be automatically moved over to Pokemon TCG Live provided they log in to Live with the same account details, so players don’t need to worry about doing anything during the beta period.

How to access the Pokemon TCG Live beta download

All PC and Mac users worldwide will be able to access the Pokemon TCG Live beta when it becomes available from the game’s website, as The Pokemon Company is offering a full global open beta for everyone to try. However, the iOS and Android Pokemon TCG Live app soft-launch will only be available in Canada, despite seemingly launching at the same time as the beta.

Pokemon TCG Live seems to be a more exciting experience than Online, however the bad news is that it will not be available on Switch and players cannot trade Pokemon cards with each other.
