New World Hotspot Hunt Fishing Hotspots

New World Hotspot Hunt: How to find fishing hotspots

The New World Hotspot Hunt quest tasks players with catching fish from a hotspot three times. However, it doesn’t clarify what a hotspot is before it sends players hunting for it. Fortunately, these locations are relatively easy to spot once a user knows where to look.

How to find fishing hotspots in New World and complete the Hotspot Hunt quest

New World Fishing Hotspot Level

In New World, fishing hotspots are areas where players can catch bigger and rarer fish and hook fish quicker. Whether or not a player can see a hotspot either visually or on the map depends on their fishing level.

Before players take on the Hotspot Hunt quest from Master Fisher Clemenson, they should make a fishing pole (here’s how to get the fibers to do it) and catch fish until they reach fishing level 2. At this level, players can discover and track two broad hotspots, which is essential to completing this quest.

Note, if a player isn’t at fishing level 2, they simply can’t see hotspots, and this will make the quest practically impossible to complete.

Once a player has reached fishing level 2 in New World, they can start tracking hotspots. To do this, players should look for a faint hexagon on the map. Then, head there and look on the compass for a fish icon with stars underneath. Following this will lead to the area the hotspot is located.

Once in the general vicinity of the hotspot, players should look in the water for a place where fish are jumping out. Next, players need to cast their line into the area with the jumping fish, and a message will appear that says “Landed on Hotspot.” To complete the Hotspot Hunt quest in New World, players need to catch a fish by doing this three times. Fortunately, players can catch a fish from the same hotspot three times to complete their goal.
